Bournemouth submit offer for Jhon Lucumi – Move accelerating quickly

Bologna’s Jhon Lucumi has had an impressive couple of seasons at the Italian side and has now attracted the attention of Bournemouth.

The Cherries are trying to sign the Colombian, who has been linked with a host of Serie A clubs recently.

Footmercato report that Bournemouth have put forward an offer of €15m plus bonuses for the defender and are quickly accelerating their move for the 25-year-old.

Andoni Iraola’s side are aware of the competition in the race for Lucumi and their early advances show they want to seal the deal as fast as they can.

As of now, Bologna have no pressure to sell their prized centre-back. They qualified for the Europa League by winning the Coppa Italia and the report believes that Bournemouth could be asked to pay more.

Regardless, talks between the two clubs are ongoing and the South Coast club are keen on getting a deal done.

The Colombia international played 32 times in the 2024/25 Serie A season, and under both Vincenzo Italiano and Thiago Motta he has displayed impressive ability on the ball that can prove useful for Iraola.
