This summer could be a busy one for Premier League champions Liverpool, with plenty of potential arrivals and departures at Anfield in the coming weeks.
Arne Slot guided the Reds to just the second Premier League title in the club’s history in his first season in charge, despite making only one signing last summer.
Federico Chiesa was the only arrival at Anfield in Slot’s first transfer window in charge, but the Dutchman is likely to want to bolster his squad ahead of next term.
With that in mind, it has emerged that the Merseyside outfit are closing in on the signing of a Premier League defender that impressed last term.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are close to reaching an agreement to sign Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez.
It is claimed that the Reds agreed personal terms with the Hungarian defender last week, and the Premier League champions are now close to finalising a deal with the Cherries.

Kerkez, 21, has enjoyed a superb campaign for Andoni Iraola’s side, making 41 appearances across all competitions.
Having joined the south coast side from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in 2023, the left-back has now played 74 times for Bournemouth, providing eight assists.
Romano claims that Liverpool are set for one more round of talks with Bournemouth, with an agreement close to being finalised.
The Hungary international’s current contract with the Cherries is set to run until the summer of 2028, but it appears almost certain that he will join the Premier League champions prior to the start of next season.
Liverpool’s current first-choice left-back, Andy Robertson, has just over a year remaining on his contract, and it appears that the Reds are therefore planning for the Scot’s potential departure.
