Liverpool have been heavily featured in numerous transfer stories already this summer.
The Anfield outfit are coming off the back of a dominant season where they came away with the Premier League title.
Players such as Mohamed Salah and Ryan Gravenberch put in career-best performances across the campaign, but there were a few members of the squad who let the team down more than once.

Indeed, this is why Arne Slot’s men have been linked with several transfer targets already and at the moment, it doesn’t seem like the rumours are slowing down any time soon.
Liverpool are now surveying Rafael Leao ahead of the summer transfer window
Jeremie Frimpong has already made his Anfield switch, with the Dutchman coming in to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold after he chose to join Real Madrid.
And, as per a new report from Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, it seems that the Reds have now set their sights on AC Milan’s Rafael Leao.
The report says that Liverpool have made an ‘important survey’ on the Portugal international, with a number of Saudi clubs also showing an interest in the attacker.
TuttoMercatoWeb also add that even though both Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo play on the left wing for Liverpool, should a move for Leao come to fruition, Slot is planning on moving them into the striker position.

Slot has used both players at number nine frequently this term, but next season, the Dutchman is ‘almost certainly’ going to permanently move one to the striker position.
The report goes on to say that despite the interest from across the globe, AC Milan have ‘no intention’ of selling Leao, but a fee worth around £109million could be enough to persuade them to let him go.

Liverpool cannot sell Luis Diaz in the summer transfer window
As mentioned, it seems that Slot has a plan for Diaz and Gakpo next season, but rumours have consistently been shared about where the future of the Colombian international lies.
Barcelona have publicly said that they admire Diaz, with the Catalan outfit being the most likely place for the attacker to end up this summer.
Indeed, there have been times this season when Diaz’s final third form has left a lot to be desired, but over the course of the entire campaign, he’s been one of Liverpool’s most prolific attackers.

Luis Diaz 50 17 8
Cody Gakpo 49 18 7
The 2024-25 season of some Liverpool attackers in numbers.
It’s highly unlikely that Salah will be able to put in similar numbers to what he has done this term, so Slot will need every ounce of firepower he can get.
Of course, if Liverpool brought in someone such as Leao to replace Diaz, his exit would hurt a lot less.
But, with a price tag of £109million, a deal is unlikely to get off the ground, especially once Florian Wirtz becomes a Liverpool player.
