Liverpool make concrete offer for Moroccan– Newcastle United meet player’s agents

Liverpool and Newcastle United have Stade Rennais’ Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal on their list for this summer, according to a report from Morocco.

The 19-year-old left Morocco’s Mohammed VI Football Academy for the French club in July 2024. He hasn’t made his debut for the first team yet and Stade Rennais sent him on loan to Ligue 2 side Amiens SC in the winter market.

Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal played nine games for Amiens and has to return to his parent club this summer. Liverpool and Newcastle are keen on taking him away from Stade Rennais.

That’s according to Morocco’s Le360 Sport, who provide the latest on the steps taken by the English champions and the Magpies to sign the centre-back.

The outlet has found out Newcastle have ‘met with the player’ and have to be wary of the Reds. Liverpool have made a ‘concrete offer’, but the report makes no mention of the details of that proposal.

In addition to the Premier League duo, OGC Nice and two unnamed clubs from La Liga are also in the picture to sign Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal. His contract lasts until 2028 and if he were to leave, the Moroccan has several options to pick from.
