Earlier today, Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan is inclined towards joining Chelsea.
The newspaper stated that there is already an offer on the table from the Blues and the Frenchman has already spoken to Enzo Maresca about the project on offer.
More has emerged from Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo about Maignan’s future at Milan.
The journalist states there are ‘good relations’ between Chelsea and the Rossoneri and this can help a transfer.
Longo indicates that while the London club are yet to make an offer, they would be willing to pay €25m. AC Milan want €30m but the gap in valuation will not be a problem.
The clubs have dealt with each other multiple times in the past few seasons and this could be another key move that involves them.
Chelsea are ‘strong’ in their chase for the France international and are expected to formalise their first offer quickly.
Maignan’s current contract at the San Siro runs out in 2026 and with no renewal in sight, this summer feels like a good time for Milan to move the player on instead of losing him on a free transfer.
