“You can’t decide too early” – Leicester City star speaks about potential exit, reveals he is happy at King Power

Leicester City had a troubling 2024/25 season but Jordan Ayew was one of the brighter lights during a frustrating campaign.

The versatile forward scored six times in all competitions and played across the frontline for the Foxes, contributing in both the decisive wins over Southampton.

The Ghana international’s current contract at Leicester City runs out in the summer of 2026 and he’s now spoken to Diretta about his future at the club.

In a chat with the outlet, he made it clear that he is happy at the Foxes and is in no rush to make a decision.

“I still have a year left on my contract and I have to go on holiday, then we’ll see what happens.

“When you get to this level, you can’t decide too early because staying is an option and leaving is an option, but I’m happy there.”

The 33-year-old also went on to state that he wants to play at a club where he enjoys playing football.

“I just want to play football and have fun because that’s what makes me happy.”

Ayew is a well-established Premier League player and has featured in over 300 games for four different clubs, and he could be a valuable asset for Leicester City in the Championship.

That’s why keeping the Ghanaian may be on the cards for the Midlands side, who would be aiming to return to the Premier League after a season in the second division.

An experienced veteran like Ayew can definitely help in achieving that.
