Manchester City have agreed a deal with AC Milan to sign Tijjani Reijnders, and more details about the transfer fee are emerging.
Reijnders arrived at Milan from AZ Alkmaar in the 2023 summer window and quickly became a fan-favourite. However, it seems that he has already played his last game for Milan, because Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign him as per multiple reports on Wednesday morning.
Man City to pay €55m for Reijnders
According to The Athletic, Manchester City ‘have reached an agreement worth €55m (£46.3m) plus add-ons’ with Milan to sign Reijnders. It is a figure that may alarm Rossoneri supporters, given the talk of a €75-80m asking price.

The Dutchman only recently renewed his contract with Milan until 2030 and he scored 15 goals in all competitions, being voted Serie A midfielder of the year. In other words, there was a lot of leverage on the side of the Italian club.
Not only that, but City needed to find a creative midfielder after Kevin De Bruyne’s exit – despite the winter signing of Nico Gonzalez from Porto – and they were also rushing to get Reijnders in for the Club World Cup.
Further details should come out about the structure of the deal including the total fee with bonuses and how easily achievable some of those add-ons are. Nevertheless, the operation is now very close to completion.
