Brendan Rodgers has had the privilege of managing Scotland and England’s most successful clubs.
The Northern Irishman’s spell at Liverpool didn’t go as planned, after they narrowly missed out on the Premier League title before Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot’s success.
But Rodgers has worked wonders at Celtic, over two spells, including winning the domestic double during the recently concluded season.
The Celtic manager has put his name alongside a host of legendary coaches, who haven’t just donned the club’s famous colours, but also delivered silverware.
And with Liverpool celebrating their 133-year history on Tuesday, Stan Collymore proceeded to compare it with Celtic.

Celtic and Liverpool managers in history
Collymore was reacting to a post which highlighted that Liverpool, who won their 20th Premier League crown this season, have only had 22 full-time managers in their history.
The former striker then stated on social media how Celtic have had ’20’ full-time bosses, including Rodgers twice, during the club’s 127-year history.
In this crazy, sack culture modern game, it’s pretty impressive that so few men have taken to the Celtic Park dugout, as it further proves how much of a privilege it is.

‘West Ham had 5 managers between 1895 and 1989,’ wrote Collymore. ‘Palace have had the most managers. 69 (including repeat managers, Coppell etc).

Who is Celtic’s most successful manager of all time?
Whatever happens, and unless somebody lifts the European Cup, and let’s be honest, that is a far cry now given the financial change in football, Jock Stein will forever remain the greatest of them all for that famous night in Lisbon.
But during Celtic’s rich and trophy-laden history, who sits top of the silverware count?
From Martin O’Neill’s famous Treble period to Ange Postecoglou coming in and wowing the crowd, all of them have written their names into the club’s legendary books, but those two don’t make the top five.
