Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo is demanding a hefty increase on his current £50,000-a-week salary to join Manchester United this summer, The Times has revealed.
The Cameroonian international is reportedly hoping to secure a contract worth up to £250,000 a week if he leaves the Bees, which would place him among the highest earners at Old Trafford.
Mbeumo is believed to be keen on a summer switch to Man United, and the Red Devils are expected to make contact with Brentford over a potential move soon.
The west London club are said to be seeking a fee of at least £60m for the 25-year-old after his career-best Premier League season.

According to The Times, Man United are aware of Mbeumo’s desire to join them and are expected to open talks with Brentford in the near future.
The Red Devils are looking to bring in another forward to play alongside Matheus Cunha in behind the striker next season, and are believed to have identified the Cameroonian as a target.
Mbeumo is anticipated to depart Brentford this summer, as he has just over a year left on his contract, although the Bees hold an option to extend it by a further season.
The 'phenomenal' 25-year-old has no shortage of Premier League suitors following his impressive campaign, with Arsenal also monitoring him as a potential right-wing reinforcement.
Man United are expecting at least two more frontline additions this summer after confirming Cunha’s arrival on a five-year deal, as they continue their search for a new striker.
The Red Devils are still not giving up in their pursuit of Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres after missing out on Chelsea-bound Liam Delap.
