Rayan Cherki has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League in recent times.
Manchester City are very keen on Cherki, but a whole host of Premier League clubs have been keen on Cherki in recent times.
Liverpool looked at the midfielder at one point, while Tottenham were keen on Cherki not too long ago either.
Arsenal have scouted Cherki too in recent months, and now, speaking to One Football on TikTok, the Lyon star has made a claim about a former Arsenal player that Gunners fans may like.

Rayan Cherki ranks Alexandre Lacazette over Hugo Lloris
Cherki was tasked with ranking some of Olympique Lyon’s greatest players in recent memory.
Inevitably, Karim Benzema made it to the top of Cherki’s list, but just behind Benzema was former Arsenal player, Alexandre Lacazette.
Lacazette was ‘outstanding’ at times for Arsenal, and Cherki has him high in his list of Lyon legends.
More interestingly, though, Cherki ranked Lacazette ahead of one of Tottenham’s legends, picking the French striker ahead of Hugo Lloris.
Cherki may not be headed to Arsenal or Spurs this summer, but he’s bound to cause a bit of debate between these two fanbases with this claim.
Rayan Cherki’s record alongside Alexandre Lacazette
Cherki is clearly a fan of Lacazette, and it’s easy to understand why, these two have played a lot of football together over the years.
Indeed, Cherki and Lacazette have played over 100 games together for Lyon, and, during that time, they have struck up quite a connection.

Games 102
Wins 53
Draws 18
Losses 31
Joint goal participation 11
11 joint goal contributions in 102 games is a great return, and while it may not sound like a lot, some of the best partnerships in the Premier League aren’t that prolific.
Lacazette and Lloris are two of the greatest players in Lyon’s history, while they were firm fan favourites at Arsenal and Spurs respectively during their time in north London as well.
Cherki picked Lacazette over Lloris, and, in doing so, he may well have put a smile on the faces of a few Arsenal fans.
