Everton remain one of the sides interested in striker Nick Woltemade this summer, for a ‘bargain’ €20m fee.
That’s [according to SportBILD](https://sportbild.bild.de/), who profile the player today and the growing transfer interest in him after an impressive season in Germany.
The 23-year-old has been shining for VfB Stuttgart, so much so that he’s in the Germany squad for the Nations League games in this international break and in line to start as his country’s leading man.
A growing list of clubs are lining up for him, with Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Brighton and Everton all named as suitors already.
His current deal with VfB runs until June 30th, 2028, and reports have suggested it does not contain a release clause. Instead, Woltemade ‘could likely’ leave for €20m this summer. Many in the industry would consider this a ‘bargain’ given his development and form this season.
Stuttgart would like to keep him and have been adamant about that publically, with CEO Alexander Werle going on the offensive recently to RTL.
_“Nick will play for us again next season,”_ he said.
_“He’s been here for one season, and I think he should be given the chance to play for a few more seasons at VfB. Because it’s fun to play here.”_
A debut for Germany, though, could push his suitors to make their moves. Even more so if it’s an impressive one for Julian Nagelsmann’s side. He’s also due to be at the U21 European Championships in the summer in Slovakia, a tournament where scouts will surely be in attendance if a transfer hasn’t already happened.
He’s very much the ‘man of the moment’ in German after a ‘crazy shooting-star season’ and Everton are firmly in the mix but face big competition.

The German newspaper do so by using school grades in the country, with 1 being the best and 6 being terrible.
Only two players got a 1. That’s Angelo Stiller, who Real Madrid are reportedly working to sign, and Nick Woltemade.
Bild state: _‘Didn’t play a role under Hoeneß at the start of the season, but hit the ground running in December. He’s now VfB’s number one striker and has been called up to the German national team for the first time. GRADE 1’_
