Beşiktaş move in for Nottingham Forest player – Adding new drama to soap opera

Beşiktaş are showing interest in Nottingham Forest midfielder Danilo as they seek a replacement for Atiba Hutchinson.

That’s [according to FotoSpor](https://www.fotospor.com/besiktas/besktasta-atibanin-boslugunu-doldurmaya-geliyor-678382), who report that the Turkish side have made an offer to loan the Brazilian, which would include a purchase option. They are waiting for Nottingham Forest to respond to that bid.

Nottingham Forest are believed to see Danilo as someone they can sell but are more inclined to secure a transfer fee than loan him out at this moment in time.

Reports over the last few days have linked the midfielder with a move to Lyon, as part of a unilateral agreement with Nottingham Forest, who are targeting a trio of players from Botafogo.

The Brazilian side are owned by John Textor, who also owns Lyon, and the plan taking shape was that Nottingham Forest could sign the Botafogo trio before then letting Danilo join Lyon on loan. That loan deal would have included a clause allowing Textor to send Danilo to Botafogo whenever he liked. Danilo rejected this as, if he is to return to Brazil, he’ll only play for Palmeiras.

However, FotoSpor say none of that is true. According to them, when Beşiktaş management asked about the 24-year-old, they learned that a move to Lyon was not on the cards. That has presumably given them encouragement.

They state that Lyon are not in the mix because they are ‘on the agenda’ to be punished by FIFA and the French Football Federation for their ongoing financial difficulties.

Either way, now Beşiktaş are in the mix for Danilo as well, in what is already shaping up to be a very busy summer for the Nottingham Forest midfielder.
