Chelsea‘confident’to land€100 million Liverpool target

Chelsea and Liverpool are both interested to sign €100 million costing attacker. As per the latest reports, the Blues are confident to land the talented player ahead of the Reds.

Chelsea have signed Liam Delap as their new striker. The 22 year old costed the Blues £30 million. Delap is expected to play above Nicolas Jackson. Marc Guiu is said to leave on loan so that he can play regularly which is needed for his improvement.

Chelsea are said to sign yet another striker this summer. They are linked with French forward currently impressing in Bundesliga. But, they are not the only one in the race. The Blues are joined by their English rivals Liverpool.

The Reds have won Premier League but are keen to make some key changes in the squad. They are ready to move-on from Darwin Nunez. In addition, Diogo Jota has also been linked with exit. This makes striker signing their top priority.

The star in question here is Hugo Ekitike. He is 22 years old and plays for Frankfurt. This season, he scored 22 goals and picked 12 assists. As a result, he is wanted by multiple top clubs including both Chelsea and Liverpool.

According to Simon Phillips, Chelsea are involved in talks for Ekitike. As of now, the talks are progressing really well. The Blues are confident about signing the 22 year old. Upon the further talks, a transfer fee can soon be agreed.

Frankfurt are demanding €100 million for Ekitike. They are unwilling to negotiate on lower price. Due to the player’s age, contract situation, form and demand in the market, the German club are in a very strong position when it comes to negotiations. It will be interesting to see if the Blues find success in signing Ekitike or not.
