Manchester City are going all in during the 2025 summer transfer window.
Having rested on their laurels last summer by not strengthening their squad, City are determined not to make that mistake this time around, with Guardiola set to revamp his team ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Man City are very close to officially announcing Tijjani Reijnders as a new player, as everything is now in place to bring the AC Milan star to the Etihad Stadium.
In addition to this, Rayan Cherki has agreed personal terms with Man City, while a deal for Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri is progressing.
Behind the scenes, City are working on other targets, and a deal that fans of the Manchester club might find the most exciting could still happen, according to a new update.

Man City can offer Rodrygo a starting spot next season
Rodrygo has been on Man City’s radar for some time now, and that has increased over the last year as the Brazilian’s minutes at Real Madrid have been impacted by the arrival of Kylian Mbappe.

There has been speculation that the winger could leave the Bernabeu ahead of the new season, with Man City and Arsenal among the Premier League clubs interested in the 24-year-old.
According to Jose Claros, Rodrygo is more out than in at Real Madrid as the La Liga club cannot offer him the role of being a guaranteed starter with plenty of playing time.
The journalist states that Man City can offer the winger this, and the Brazilian’s position on a transfer will only be made fully clear once he speaks to new Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso.

It was reported last week that Real Madrid have received no offers yet for Rodrygo, who is said to be valued between £67m to £84m.
Rodrygo was open to a move to Man City last summer, but it remains to be seen if that is still the case should an official offer arrive from the Manchester club.
Where Rodrygo fits in at Man City
£84M is a lot to spend on a winger when it is an area of the pitch that Man City do not need to add to at present, especially if the Cherki deal gets over the line, as the French star can also play out wide.
If the 24-year-old does arrive at the Etihad Stadium this summer, Guardiola is very likely to deploy the Brazilian out on the right, with Omar Marmoush on the opposite flank.
With Erling Haaland through the middle, this would be a lethal front three City fans would get to witness next season, with the Brazilian having great success at Real Madrid when Karim Benzema was the striker at the La Liga giants.
There is no question that Rodrygo would be an incredible signing for Man City this summer. It comes down to whether the Manchester club really need to spend big money on the Madrid star when other areas in Guardiola’s team need immediate attention.
