Arsenal have signed just five strikers in the last 10 years, if you discount players such as Kai Havertz, who isn’t a number nine.
The Gunners have a huge need to sign a striker this summer as they aim to build a team capable of beating the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool to the Premier League title.
This season, Kai Havertz was their first choice striker, despite the fact that he isn’t a striker, they then had to play midfielder Mikel Merino at the position after Havertz got injured.
Mikel Arteta has been linked to signing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko in recent weeks, with talks reportedly ongoing about a potential move to the Emirates.
