Andy Robertson and Caoimhin Kelleher celebrate after Liverpool wins the Premier League title
Andy Robertson has led the tributes to Caoimhin Kelleher after his exit from Liverpool was confirmed
Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has hailed Caoimhin Kelleher as a "legend" after the Republic of Ireland international sealed a move to Brentford on Tuesday. Following a decade of service at Anfield, the 26-year-old, who made a total of 67 appearances for the Reds after debuting in September 2019, made the decision to leave the club and pursue a career as a No.1.
Kelleher's move to Brentford could bring in £18million for Liverpool, with the goalkeeper completing the switch following Mark Flekken's £11m move to Bayer Leverkusen Across his six seasons with the first team, the Irishman helped Liverpool win the Champions League, Premier League, Super Cup, Club World Cup, FA Cup and two Carabao Cups.
And after news of his switch to West London was confirmed earlier this week, Robertson hailed the impact Kelleher had at Anfield since joining from Ringmahon Rangers in 2015.

Discussing his decision to move to the GTech Community Stadium, Kelleher said: "I’m buzzing, I’m really happy to be here.
"I don’t think it was very difficult for me to leave [Liverpool]. I felt for my own career that the time was right for me to go, to be a no.1 and to play every week.
"I heard of some interest a number of weeks ago. Once I knew Brentford was in for me, it was definitely one I was really excited about and wanted to do as quickly as possible.
"When I come back for pre-season, all focus will be on what I want to do next year; to work on certain goals and what I need to improve on, and to have a really good season for Brentford."
