Reijnders admits to Premier League ‘dream’ and confirms Milan-Man City talks

Tijjani Reijnders has confirmed ongoing negotiations between AC Milan and Manchester City over a move, claiming he always dreamed of playing in the Premier League.

The 2024-25 season was disastrous for Milan but a very positive one for Reijnders, who was arguably the Rossoneri’s best performer. He scored 15 goals across all competitions and was crowned by Lega Serie A as the best midfielder.

However, it appears that the Dutchman has already on the verge of leaving Milan, because Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign him, as per multiple reports on Wednesday morning.

Reijnders responds

Reijnders is currently away with the Dutch national team and while with the training retreat he spoke to Voetbal International about the rumours linking him with Manchester City.

“The clubs are still in negotiations. For me it’s just a matter of waiting. I personally had a fantastic year at Milan. The Premier League is incredible, you dream about it as a boy,” he said (via MilanNews).

As a reminder, Sky are reporting that the figure will be around €70m including bonuses, while The Athletic stated it will be €55m plus bonuses. More specifics about the structure of the deal will likely emerge in the coming days.
