Bournemouth’s summer transfer window is already shaping up to be a significant one as the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal circle with a number of key players expected to move on, and several departures already planned for internally months ago.
GIVEMESPORT understands that the club had long been planning for the exits of Liverpool target Milos Kerkez, Arsenal and Manchester United linked Antoine Semenyo, Dean Huijsen, and Illia Zabarnyi. Sources have told GMS that Huijsen and Kerkez, in particular, were always seen as likely summer departures, even as Bournemouth fought to keep Huijsen in January.

Huijsen has now officially joined Real Madrid, a major move for the young centre-back who impressed during his time at the Vitality Stadium. As for Kerkez, his departure to Liverpool is viewed as imminent. Bournemouth have been aware of significant interest in the Hungarian left-back and are prepared to sanction a sale, though only at the right price.
Crucially, Bournemouth had already taken steps to prepare for Kerkez’s exit. The January signing of Spanish left-back Ricardo Soler was part of that forward planning, though the club were under no illusions that Soler wasn’t physically ready to take on a regular starting role immediately. The plan was always to give him time to adapt, with a view to him stepping up in 2025.
Bournemouth’s recruitment team has earned praise for its thinking in recent windows, but this summer could be their biggest test yet with Kerkez likely to follow Huijsen out the door.

Now the focus now turns to Semenyo and Zabarnyi, two players the club are not actively looking to sell but accept could be subject to major interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
Sources have told GIVEMESPORT that any offers for Zabarnyi or Semenyo - who it has been reported elsewhere will cost £50m+ - will need to reflect their true market value. Bournemouth are determined not to accept cut-price bids and will use recent Premier League sales of similarly aged and proven players as benchmarks.

The mood internally remains confident. While exits are expected, there’s a belief that succession plans are in place, and that the groundwork laid over the past two windows will allow Bournemouth to remain competitive, even as the squad undergoes a period of transition.
