Liverpool FC are actively pursuing both incoming reinforcements and managing a potential exodus of established players this summer.

The summer window has already witnessed significant departures from Anfield, with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s move to Real Madrid for £8.3 million marking the end of a 20-year association with the club.

Caoimhin Kelleher exit to Brentford was confirmed on Tuesday in a £12.5 million move that reflects his desire to secure regular first-team footbal1.

The Irish goalkeeper’s departure was anticipated given his ambitions to become a number one and the arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, who will officially join Liverpool this summer after spending the 2024-25 season on loan back to the Spanish club.

And now the Telegraph has labelled Harvey Elliott has one player who is almost certain to be sold this summer.

Elliott’s 2024-25 season began with considerable promise as he was considered a top performer in pre-season preparations.

However, his momentum was abruptly halted in early September when he suffered a fractured foot while training with England’s Under-21 squad10.

The injury, which occurred during international duty, sidelined Elliott for approximately six weeks and forced him to miss crucial early-season fixtures when squad positions were being established under Slot’s management.

The setback proved particularly damaging as it came at a time when the midfielder was hoping to cement his place in the Dutchman’s plans.

Upon his return to fitness, Elliott has found it increasingly difficult to break into Slot’s established lineup, managing just 44 Premier League minutes across the entire 2024-25 campaign.

This represents a dramatic reduction from his involvement under Jurgen Klopp’s final season, where he accumulated 2,786 minutes across 53 appearances.

Now the Telegraph have claimed that he is a candidate for sale, revealing:

“Harvey Elliott is also expected to leave Anfield this summer, with a number of Premier League clubs intent on signing him.”

“Elliott is in line to appear for Lee Carsley’s England Under-21s at this summer’s European Championship and could attract greater interest if he impresses in the competition.”

The player is believed to be admired by Premier League sides as well as Bundesliga clubs.

The 21-year-old has hinted that his time may be up on Merseyside, saying after the 3-2 defeat to Brighton in May:

“It’s been hard with how much I’ve played. I’ve tried as hard as I could, and whatever happens, happens.”

“It’s about what’s best for my career. It’s about reflecting and seeing what I can do. I’m here at the moment and I’m focusing on the final game.”
