After Ipswich Town suffered relegation from the Premier League in 2024/25, Kieran McKenna will be hunting for recruits to push for an instant promotion back to the top flight.

Ipswich Town are preparing for life back in the Championship next season after their relegation from the Premier League.

Kieran McKenna’s side enjoyed successive promotions from League One to the top flight, but in their recent Premier League campaign, they finished second-bottom in the table, and were 26 points from safety.

Ipswich are desperate for an instant return to the big time, and transfer business has already been busy for the Tractor Boys, namely in terms of departures so far.

EFL Analysis has dissected every single incoming and outgoing transfer taking place at Portman Road this summer, as Ipswich prepare for the 2025/26 Championship.

Every Ipswich Town incoming of summer transfer window

The summer transfer window opened on June 1, but will close again on June 10, due to the Club World Cup. On June 16, the window opens once again, before coming to an end on September 1 at 7pm, rather than the regular 11pm deadline.

Ali Al-Hamadi, Harry Clarke, and Cameron Humphreys return to Portman Road with the conclusion of loan spells in the EFL.

Regarding new faces, Ipswich have yet to make an acquisition, but EFL Analysis has exclusively revealed that former Middlesbrough goalscorer Emmanuel Latte Lath is considering a return to England.

Therefore, Ipswich could reignite the interest they held in the striker before his MLS switch to Atlanta United. The Ivorian international scored 29 times in 67 appearances for Boro.

Ipswich could also sign Marc Guiu, who scored on his Barcelona debut, on loan from Chelsea. His arrival would help soften the blow of losing star forward Liam Delap amid his imminent departure.

Every Ipswich Town departure of summer transfer window

In terms of outgoings, Ipswich know they will be losing their prized possession this summer, with Chelsea set to sign Delap for £30m.

Divin Mubama has been lined up as Delap’s potential replacement, and that is a move that all Tractor Boys supporters should be keeping a keen eye on.

Ipswich’s retained list revealed that back-to-back promotion heroes Marcus Harness and Massimo Luongo will depart the club at the end of their contracts this summer.

Ipswich fans bid an emotional farewell to Harness, and a host of second tier suitors will be pushing for his signature this summer. Namely, Derby County, whom he helped survive in the Championship on the final day during his loan spell.

Loanees Jens Cajuste, Julio Enciso, Ben Godfrey, and Kalvin Phillips all return to their parent clubs following loan stints in the 24/25 Premier League at Ipswich.
