Former Indiana guard Trey Galloway has his sights set on playing at the next level. Galloway will participate in a pre-draft workout this afternoon with the Golden State Warriors, [according to Danny Emerman of The San Francisco Standard](https://x.com/DannyEmerman/status/1930045662168789423). It is Galloway's first pre-draft workout with an NBA team ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft later this month.
Galloway is not currently projected to be an NBA Draft pick and was not invited to participate in the NBA Combine or the G League Elite Camp in May. However, Galloway could look to begin his professional career in the G League, which holds its annual draft in the fall.
The Warriors already have one former Hoosier on the roster in forward Trayce Jackson-Davis, who just wrapped up his second season after becoming a second-round draft pick in 2023. Jackson-Davis will be entering the final guaranteed season of his rookie contract, with a team option looming for the 2026-27 season.
No other Hoosiers from the 2024-25 roster are projected to be selected in this year's draft. Former Indiana forward and Texas A&M transfer Mackenzie Mgbako was a standout at the G League Elite Camp and later earned an NBA Combine invitation, but he has since withdrawn from the draft process and will play for the Aggies. Former Indiana center Oumar Ballo declared for the NBA Draft this spring after exhausting his college eligibility, though he has not taken any pre-draft workouts at this point.
One NBA team which will have deep Indiana ties next season is the Sacramento Kings. Former Indiana head coach Mike Woodson was hired in May as the Kings' associate head coach, joining new head coach Doug Christie's staff. Woodson coached in the NBA for nearly three decades prior to a four-year stint at Indiana.
Current Indiana players in the NBA include Thomas Bryant (Pacers); OG Anunoby (Knicks); Jalen Hood-Schifino (76ers); Eric Gordon (76ers); Kel'el Ware (Heat) and Jackson-Davis with the Warriors. Former Indiana forward Miller Kopp just completed his second season in the G League, while former guard Xavier Johnson and former forward Race Thompson also played in the G League this past season.
The Hoosiers will look significantly different in the 2025-26 season after hiring new head coach Darian DeVries, bringing in a revamped coaching staff and adding 11 new players. Indiana's 10-player transfer class is ranked No. 10 nationally and No. 4 in the Big Ten according to 247Sports, led by top-100 transfers Tucker DeVries (No. 18 overall), Lamar Wilkerson (No. 45 overall) and Reed Bailey (No. 62 overall).
Indiana began summer workouts this past Monday, marking the first on-court team activity under DeVries. The Hoosiers are set to embark on a foreign tour from Aug. 5-12 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, playing three exhibition games and allotting 10 team practices this summer.
