Manchester United have started the summer transfer window with intent bringing in Matheus Cunha whilst also targeting Bryan Mbuemo.
However, more is to be done if United are to compete for Europe next season.
On Monday, we reported that Reuben Amorim wanted to bring in players in two more positions.
This was to strengthen the squad and to better prepare the Reds for their pre-season campaign, which kicks off in July against Leeds United.
In order for this business to be done, departures must also be made which can be seen with Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho all rumoured to be leaving the club.
Now, it has been revealed by journalist Simon Phillips that United are one of the clubs interested in Chelsea striker Nicholas Jackson.
Jackson initially joined the Blues in 2023 and has managed to play 78 games for the Stamford Bridge outfit and has scored 30 goals in this timeframe.
The striker has many key strengths including his passing, shooting and in-possession gameplay.
This can be seen through his statistics for this Premier League which have seen him contribute 5 assists whilst also make 18 successful dribbles which have helped Chelsea push forward more often.
To add to this, Jackson has had 35 shots on target during the course of the campaign.
The Senegal international also managed to score 10 goals during the course of the Premier League season whilst also scoring a further 3 in the Conference League.
How Does Jackson Fit Into The United Team?
If Jackson was to join United, he would be playing in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system, primarily as the lone striker up top.
Having one striker up top mirrors Chelsea in their 4-2-3-1 formation.
In the role, Jackson would have to be strong and also use his passing abilities to look for other options if he needed support. Most importantly, he would need the effectiveness to shoot and score crucial goals for Manchester United.
Will He Join?
Will Jackson join United? Only time will tell but with several clubs interested, the battle to earn his signature will be hard.
