An update has emerged on Chelsea's upcoming plans for the summer transfer window.
Enzo Maresca and Co. will be busy looking ahead to the start of the Club World Cup, which takes place in the United States this summer.
Away from the action on the pitch, Chelsea are already pressing ahead to complete some of their transfer business in the initial transfer window.
FIFA brought forward the summer transfer window, which opened on Sunday and will run until June 10 before reopening once again for the rest of the summer on June 16.
Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap is a target for Chelsea, who is poised to complete a £30million move to Stamford Bridge. The Blues have already signed Dario Essugo from Sporting CP in a deal worth £18million, and the midfielder will be available to feature at the Club World Cup.
Sky Sports has provided an update on Chelsea's summer transfer business. The report claims that the Blues will still want to sign at least three more players this summer.
It has been reported that Chelsea will want to sign a new forward, even after the arrival of Delap, to replace Christopher Nkunku who is being heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
The report also claims that Chelsea want to sign a new winger and a centre-back. A host of names have been mentioned in both positions, including Nico Williams, Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho on the wing and Marc Guehi, Jorrel Hato and Jarrad Branthwaite in defence
Chelsea are also showing an interest in signing AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan. Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike has also been heavily linked with a move to the Blues this summer, with Liverpool also rumoured to be in the running for his signature.
