Everton are eyeing a summer move to sign Sunderland star Trai Hume as David Moyes looks to bolster his squad, according to Sky Sports News.
The Toffees are expected to have a busy summer transfer window as they enter the new Hill Dickinson Stadium, with new owners The Friedkin Group looking to provide funds to try and avoid a relegation battle once again.
With several first-team players expected to depart at the end of their contracts this summer, Everton are now eyeing potential replacements and Hume has emerged as a target.

After a successful season in the Championship with the Black Cats in which the team earned promotion following a 2-1 win in the Playoffs, Hume was named as the Players' Player of the Season and Fans' Player of the Season for his performances.
Those performances have caught the attention of Premier League sides such as the Toffees, and the highly-rated defender is now someone who Moyes is looking to add to the squad.
His current contract at the Stadium of Light runs until 2027 with the option of a further year, meaning Everton will need to pay up to get a deal over the line.
Hume, who has been described as a 'technician' by teammate Dan Ballard, is an attacking right-back and could provide depth and competition for Seamus Coleman, Jake O'Brien and Nathan Patterson in that position, with Ashley Young having been released at the end of his contract.
Wolves are another club who hold an interest in the 23-year-old, meaning Moyes and The Friedkin Group may have to move quickly to seal a deal - while Sunderland will undoubtedly want to keep a key member of their squad as they take on the Premier League.
