Stephen A. Smith Calls Out Knicks Executive After Tom Thibodeau’s Firing

The New York Knicks parted ways with Tom Thibodeau on Tuesday, and many fans aren’t happy about it.

Stephen A. Smith knows that his favorite team has problems, but he is still unhappy with how President Leon Rose has handled the Thibodeau situation.

According to Yahoo Sports, Smith had some harsh words for Rose.

“Get the hell in front of a microphone and a camera and answer questions. Stop being a coward,” Smith said of a statement from Rose after Thibodeau’s firing.

The Knicks released a statement to the media after they let go of Thibodeau.

In it, they said that they fired Thibodeau because they are trying to do what is “best for our organization.”

That just wasn’t good enough for many fans.

They want more answers because they feel the firing was drastic and perhaps unnecessary.

The Knicks clearly still have a lot of issues to work through, but Thibodeau was doing great things for the team.

He got them all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since the year 2000, and he helped the Knicks reclaim serious prominence in the NBA.

Thibodeau wasn’t perfect, but was it really time to get rid of him?

A lot of people are worried that the Knicks won’t get this close to the Finals again for a long time.

Is the firing of Thibodeau the first overreaction of many?

Will they make too many roster adjustments this summer and lose the special chemistry of the team and slip in the standings next year?

There are many questions about this team, and people aren’t happy with the answers that Rose and his office are giving.
