NBA Commissioner Adam Silver confirmed that the 2026 All-Star Game will feature a USA vs. the World format, coinciding with the Winter Olympics and airing on NBC.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced on the Breakfast Ball show that the 2026 NBA All-Star Game will feature the exciting USA vs. the World format.
Silver explained that the timing couldn’t be better, as the 2026 All-Star Game will take place during the Winter Olympics, creating a unique sports spectacle.
“The game will be on NBC on the very day we’re on. The lead-in will be Winter Olympic events. And then coming out of the All-Star Game, which is now going to be in the afternoon instead of the evening, there will be more Olympic events,” Silver explained.
Silver believes the timing is perfect to showcase some form of USA vs. the World, admitting he’s still finalizing the format but noting that the NHL’s version was a huge success.
“So what better time to feature some form of USA vs. the World? I’m not exactly sure what the format will be yet, but obviously we paid a lot of attention to what the NHL did, which was a huge success,” he added.
