During the transfer window, there’s usually a Nottingham Forest drama every few days or so, but this year feels like it may be even crazier than usual.
Earlier today [we covered reports from Brazil](https://sportwitness.co.uk/textor-clause-pausing-danilo-transfer-nottingham-forest-player-rejects-contract-addition/) which explained Danilo is putting the brakes on a move from the Premier League club to Lyon. The Ligue 1 side were said to have offered €25m, but Danilo isn’t happy with a clause which could see him moved to Botafogo.
John Textor owns both Lyon and Botafogo, however, Danilo would only have eyes for Palmeiras if he returns to Brazil.
Nottingham Forest are in deep with Textor this week. On top of the Danilo situation, there’s the trio of Igor Jesus, Jair Cunha and Cuiabano. Deals are thought to be agreed to take all three to Forest, with a blossoming friendship between Textor and Evangelos Marinakis thought to be behind it all.
On Tuesday, claims from Brazil stated Nottingham Forest will be paying €34-40m for the trio, depending on which report you choose to believe. €20m would be for Igor Jesus, and the rest split to pay for the other two.
However, those figures are not going down well with Botafogo fans.
[FogaoNet](https://www.fogaonet.com/blog-do-mansell/jair-cuiabano-e-igor-jesus-botafogo-e-os-estranhos-valores-falados/) say that if the numbers relate to 100% of the rights for each player, then it’s a joke.
The amounts are called _‘laughable figures’_, and FogaoNet states: _‘So either they guessed values that make no sense at all, or John Textor went crazy.’_
The article claims Cuiabano has the potential to be worth €40m in the not too distant future, and Jair Cunha could end up sold for less than he costs which doesn’t make sense given his performances. The €20m for Igor Jesus is also considered too low, despite it being all profit.
