On-loan Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has confirmed he will be leaving CHELSEA at the end of this month when his loan ends.
Sancho scored five goals and made four assists during his loan spell at Chelsea after being banished by former Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag, and Chelsea agreed to sign Sancho permanently for around £25m when they signed him on loan from Manchester United last summer.
However, they were able to cancel the agreement by paying their Premier League rivals £5m in compensation and it has been revealed that Chelsea have agreed to pay that fee, as Manchester United determine whether to give him another shot or not.
He wrote in a post on Instagram: “Grateful for the experience. Big love to everyone at Chelsea who made me feel at home — teammates, staff and the fans.
“Wishing the club all the best moving forward. Truly grateful, Thank you Blues.”
Chelsea held talks to renegotiate Sancho’s salary to fit in with their wage structure but could not come to an agreement with their loan signing.
United are expecting offers for Sancho this summer, with all parties thought to prefer a permanent exit.
icfootballnews Says…
Sancho is a solid option to come off the bench and create something, he may not do that every week, but most of that Chelsea side are the same. But he was never going to really stay at the club for any more than he needed to be
But now that CHELSEA do not want the player, he needs to make sure that a permanent move away from Manchester United happens as he really struggles with the way the Red Devils play.
There will be a few offers and he needs to make the right move next.
