Jeremy Doku is one of Manchester City’s most polarising players.

On one hand, Pep Guardiola thinks Doku is an “incredible” player.

However, Gabby Agbonlahor has criticised Doku’s final ball as he claimed that the Belgian must frustrate Erling Haaland.

What cannot be called into question is that the Manchester City winger is one hell of a talent.

Tijjani Reijnders joining Man City could do wonders for Jeremy Doku

While injuries and rotation impacted Jeremy Doku in what was a disappointing season for City where they underwhelmed as a whole, he could be set to play in a new-and-improved Sky Blues side in the following campaign — with Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Ait-Nouri all on the verge of summer moves.

With Reijnders set to join Manchester City, the Dutchman in particular could help the 23-year-old reach the next level.

Recently, Thierry Henry revealed he spoke to Doku and urged him to improve as a creator and focus on putting balls in the box but in fairness to the latter, Manchester City lack runners as a team.

Reijnders, however is one of the best midfielders in the world at arriving late into the box, scoring a majority of his goals for AC Milan by doing so.

With Erling Haaland often stationed at the far post and Omar Marmoush still understanding how his teammates operate, the former Rennes wideman often struggles to find his teammates.

However, Reijnders makes similar runs to Nico O’Reilly, who Doku assisted during Manchester City’s 8-0 demolition job of Salford City in the FA Cup — as the AC Milan maestro seems to have a complete understanding of how to time as well as hold his runs in and around the box.

Considering the Zwolle-born midfielder is also an incisive passer, he could help the Antwerp-born forward increase his goal tally as sometimes, he does make runs beyond a back four that go unnoticed.

Doku has the quick feet, speed and match-winning ability to become a superstar and once he starts to become more productive, there will be no stopping him.

What Tijjani Reijnders has done privately that could help Doku

Milos Kerkez called Reijnders “unbelievable” and it seems like the 26-year-old has all the attributes to become a success story at City.

Reijnders has worked on his finishing, which explains his 15-goal tally last season and at Manchester City, he could help turn Doku’s dangerous passes into potential assists next season.

However, the Dutch international must be given time to settle into his surroundings at the Etihad Stadium if a move is completed, before expecting him to strike a chord with his potential teammates
