Manchester United may now have the chance to sign Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens following January transfer interest.
Goalkeeping targets have been in mind for Manchester United for several months now.
Attacking additions are the main focus, with United agreeing to sign Matheus Cunha as Bryan Mbeumo chases a move to Old Trafford.
United continue to be linked with goalkeepers, though, after claims in January that Ruben Amorim wanted to sign two goalkeepers.
Andre Onana struggled this past season and Altay Bayindir is expected to leave United, though Tom Heaton could stay put.
United must have potential first-choice and second-choice goalkeepers in mind this summer, with one talent in Belgium on the radar.

Manchester United given chance to sign Senne Lammens
Benfica’s Anatoliy Trubin has been linked to United, though the Ukrainian was described as a target had Amorim won the Europa League.
A name to keep in mind is Senne Lammens, who has been shining for Royal Antwerp in his native Belgium.
United were keen to sign Lammens in January, though that was potentially with a view to replacing Bayindir.
United were again linked with Lammens in March, as the 22-year-old continued to shine in Belgium’s top flight.
More recent reports have highlighted that Lammens’ name has been connected to United ‘quite often’ ahead of the summer window.
Belgian reporter Sacha Tavolieri now claims that Royal Antwerp have ‘opened the door’ for Lammens to leave this summer.
Royal Antwerp understand that Lammens is attracting major interest and may cash in with his stock so high.
The Belgian side are exploring goalkeeping signings of their own, potentially preparing for life without Lammens.
That potential availability won’t go unnoticed inside United, but much will depend on the futures of Onana and Bayindir – and how quickly they move on.
Senne Lammens on his Royal Antwerp future
Lammens could be on the move this summer, but he isn’t exactly chasing a move away as things stand.
As quoted by Voetbal Nieuws in May, Lammens noted that he is ‘open to everything’.
However, Lammens admitted that he would not be against staying with Royal Antwerp for one more year if the right option doesn’t arise.
“What is my own position? I am open to everything. I would not mind playing at Antwerp for another year. But we will see what the options are,” said Lammens.
We would imagine that United view Lammens as a replacement for Bayindir rather than Onana, and would be looking for him to challenge in the long-term.
Lammens has become used to starting on a regular basis for Royal Antwerp, so it remains to be seen whether he would accept a second-choice role with United.
