Manchester United star is set to play alongside Bryan Mbeumo this week, he’s the club’s ace in the pack

Manchester United are aiming to strike a deal for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo.

With a deal for Matheus Cunha already complete, Manchester United are looking to land Bryan Mbeumo.

Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo was one of the best players in the Premier League in 2024/25, scoring 20 goals during the campaign.

The Athletic report Mbeumo has decided he wants to sign for Manchester United, with the Red Devils seeking to now strike an agreement with Brentford.

Mbeumo’s mind appears to be made up, and if he needed a helping hand, he might have one this week.

Andre Onana future uncertain, but he can help Mbeumo settle

There is no guarantee Andre Onana will be staying at Manchester United this summer, with head coach Ruben Amorim taking on a large-scale overhaul.

Various goalkeepers including Vanja Milinkovic-Savic have been linked with replacing Onana, and this could come into focus later on in the transfer window.

United’s priority at present is fixing the forward positions. Even after Bryan Mbeumo is signed, Manchester United are expected to target a ‘number nine’.

In the short-term, Onana could help Mbeumo settle in Manchester, and long-term if they are teammates next season with the goalkeeper staying put, their connection could be vital in helping the forward settle on the pitch.
