Al-Hilal are trying to raid the market ahead of the upcoming Club World Cup as the Saudi club are set to take part in the inaugural outing of the competition.

The Saudi side have been drawn in Group H with Real Madrid, RedBull Salzburg and Mexican side Pachuca, with the tournament starting in two weeks.

As such the club are keen to recruit ahead of the tournament to give them their best shot at success.

Al-Hilal have already seen their aggressive pursuit of Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes fail, after tabling a £300 million offer to see him move to Riyadh.

After meeting with his agent, agreeing to meet Fernandes’ offer, United’s captain spoke with Ruben Amorim who expressed his desire to keep his star.

As such, Fernandes is set to stay at Old Trafford, as Al-Hilal turn their attention to one of United’s summer transfer targets.

The Saudi side are continuing their pursuit of Victor Osimhen, with Ben Jacobs reporting that a contract has been offered to the Nigerian striker.

It’s understood that Al-Hilal have offered Osimhen a £486,000 per week contract plus bonuses, earning him at least £25 million a year.

Whilst this is a mega offer, it’s just over two thirds of what was offered to Fernandes as he was set to earn £700,000 per week and £37 million per year if he agreed a move.

With Osimhen set to move this summer as Antonio Conte has no interest in re-integrating the striker into his Napoli squad, Al-Hilal could well be leading the race for his signature.

Manchester United were looking to the in-form striker as a replacement for Rasmus Hojlund, however decided to focus on Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap instead.

Unfortunately for Amorim, The Red Devils have missed out on the 22-year-old striker, having just signed to join Chelsea for the upcoming season.
