Manchester United’s summer overhaul is getting into full swing as The Red Devils fight to add another new signing to their ranks.
Already the club have recruited Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers as their first attacking signing.
The Brazilian striker has cost the club £62.5 million, which is set to be paid off in three instalments of £20.85 million across two and a half years.
Cunha’s reportedly only had eyes for United this summer, bringing in a passionate player for Ruben Amorim’s first full season in charge.
Now, The Athletic has reported that United are making moves on another target and have submitted an opening offer for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.

Manchester United make initial offer for Bryan Mbeumo
Manchester United have reportedly submitted an initial offer for Bryan Mbeumo for £55 million, consisting of £45 million plus £10 million in add-ons.
However, this falls below the £60 million Brentford have been asking for to even consider selling their star.
It’s also understood that Brentford believe the signing of Cunha is comparable of signing Bryan Mbeumo so a similar fee should be agreed.
As such, it’s expected that The Bees are going to stand firm on their valuation given their frustration at how public Mbeumo’s desire to move to Old Trafford has become.
Whilst this initial bid is unlikely to be accepted, it provides a starting point for negotiations, with Mbeumo already wanting a move.
As such. we’re likely to see second bid come through very soon to help get the attacker his desired move.
The Cameroon international is understood to be excited by the project Ruben Amorim is undertaking and wants to be a part of Manchester United’s rebuild and rise back to the top of the football world.
