Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker
LAKE FOREST, Ill. — For Jaquan Brisker, being back on the field is everything. A third concussion in as many seasons ended his third year in the NFL prematurely, but stepping away from the game he's played his whole life was never an option.
"I'm past that point," the Bears' safety said Wednesday. "I'm really moved on. I am just focused on playing ball. I'm really clear of mind, you know. I'm really good."
Brisker, 26, suffered a vestibular concussion in Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers last season when tight end Tommy Tremble made contact with his neck. Tremble was fined $17,083 for unnecessary roughness related to the hit, but no penalty was called during the game.
