**West Ham** winger Crysencio Summerville is progressing well in his recovery from hamstring surgery.
The Dutch wide man went under the knife at the end of last season following a failed attempt to recover through non-invasive procedures. His operation was the same successful treatment that helped resolve Michail Antonio’s long-standing hamstring problems. More recently, Bukayo Saka also underwent the same surgery — with equally positive results.
And now it seems Summerville is on a similar path to recovery, with a club insider telling [Claret & Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/category/news/), “He’s coming along nicely.”
Our source at the London Stadium continued: “He will miss pre-season, but we’re hopeful of getting him back playing early in September.”
That’s excellent news — particularly with West Ham still searching for a replacement for the outbound [Mohammed Kudus](https://www.claretandhugh.info/mohammed-kudus-bio/). If Summerville can reach the levels hinted at in glimpses last season, the solution to the Kudus conundrum might already be in the building.
