David Moyes looks set to be handed a significant budget by The Friedkin Group as they prepare for their first summer transfer window since taking over at Everton.
Moyes will likely be allowed to invest heavily in the first-team squad to build upon the progress he has overseen since his return to the Merseyside club.
However, while adding to the current squad will be the Scotsman’s priority, the Toffees are currently locked in a battle to sign Sheffield Wednesday’s 15-year-old starlet Caelan-Kole Cadamarteri.
Everton are battling Manchester City and Chelsea for the young striker’s signature, with all three sides having reportedly met Wednesday’s valuation of £1.5million.

Everton chose not to sign Caelan-Kole Cadamarteri previously
Cadamarteri comes from a successful footballing family. His older brother Bailey will be targeting first-team football with the Owls next season, having enjoyed a successful loan spell in League One with Lincoln City this term.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Meanwhile, the pair’s father, Danny, had a lengthy career with the likes of Everton, Sheffield United and Bradford City in the late 1990s and through the 2000s.
Danny, who has now moved into youth coaching having called time on his playing career back in 2014, has made a surprising revelation about his son, amid interest from the Toffees.
In the replies to Fabrizio Romano’s update on the youngster on 4 June, Cadamarteri was asked by a fan why his son wasn’t at Everton.
The former forward revealed that his son had been part of the academy setup at Everton, only for the club to ultimately decide not to sign him.
Everton will regret not keeping Cadamarteri at the club
Cadamarteri has developed into a hugely promising young talent, and with a battle now set to ensue to secure his services, the Bramley-Moore outfit will surely now regret their previous decision to release the youngster.
The young prodigy has plundered 24 goals for the Owls’ youth side in the U18s Professional Development League, despite being aged just 15.
All three Premier League clubs have lodged bids which match Wednesday’s valuation for their starlet, meaning it now seems set for Cadamarteri to decide where he wants to take his next steps in the game.
With Moyes and Everton at risk of missing out on the frontman, who has already represented both England and Scotland at youth level, the club’s previous assessment of his ability will surely be causing plenty of frustration behind the scenes.
Ultimately, if Everton end up getting hold of him for £1.5m, then it won’t have been a costly error, as that kind of money is virtual peanuts to a Premier League side.
However, if Cadamarteri opts for either City or Chelsea instead, then it will leave something of a bitter taste in L3.
