Manchester United have a plethora of big decisions to make in the coming months in terms of squad succession and planning, after their horror campaign in the Premier League this season - and that will reportedly see youngster Diego Leon brought into the Red Devils' reserves to experience the English game before making his way up the ranks.
Leon's move to Old Trafford from Paraguay was confirmed in January after he completed a medical with three-time European Cup winners, though at the age of 18, he will be moving to England as an unknown - and that will see the club nurture him for the future.

The report by the Daily Mail states that Leon will make the move to Old Trafford this summer from homeland side Cerro Porteno, and his arrival will give Ruben Amorim further options at left-wing-back with the deal set to be confirmed at some point this month.

However, the publication further claims that the plan for the youngster is to start off in the youth sides, before building his way up to the first-team due to his raw nature and lack of adaptability to the Premier League at present. As a result, the door remains open for manager Amorim to strengthen his left-hand side further in the transfer market.
Although homegrown talent Harry Amass turned down a loan move away from the club in January, the feeling is that he will be 'determined' to stay and fight for his place in the first-team alongside Danish acquisition Patrick Dorgu, who moved from Serie A side Lecce in January.
However, more meetings are set to take place for United's academy players to assess how much game time they'll receive, especially with just one match per week next season - which could make it harder for Leon to garner first-team minutes.
Paraguay youngster Leon already has nine caps for the under-20 side, scoring once for his home nation despite only turning 18 two months ago - and with 33 appearances for the Asuncion-based outfit garnering four goals, he's evidently a wide defender who is not afraid to push on and create opportunities from out-wide.
Only joining Cerro Porteno at the age of 13, he's since pushed on and even recorded his first goal on his debut back in August.
