Aston Villa are preparing a shock move to sign Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho, journalist Sebastien Vidal has revealed.
The Villans have been alerted by Sancho’s availability on the market after he departed Chelsea following his season-long loan and are believed to have identified the England international as a potential reinforcement on the left flank.
Sancho is expected to depart Man United this summer alongside fellow forwards Antony, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho and has no shortage of suitors, with Napoli, AC Milan and Saudi Pro League clubs all considering him.
The 25-year-old winger made 42 appearances for Chelsea last season, scoring five goals and providing 10 assists.

Chelsea opted not to sign Sancho on a permanent basis this summer and will instead pay a £5m penalty to Man United for the England international.
The Blues were reportedly put off by the 25-year-old’s wage demands, as he was reluctant to accept a significant pay cut from his £300,000-a-week contract at Old Trafford.
Sancho has a year remaining on his deal with United but is not expected to have a future under Ruben Amorim, having fallen out with predecessor Erik ten Hag almost two years ago.
The former Borussia Dortmund star is expected to depart and could emerge as a potential option for Aston Villa, who have not yet activated their £40m buy option to sign another Red Devils outcast, Marcus Rashford.
Rashford joined Villa on loan in January and enjoyed an upturn in form, scoring four goals and registering six assists in 17 appearances across all competitions.
He is unlikely to return to Villa Park permanently this summer and is already on the lookout for his next club, with Barcelona once again emerging as a potential destination.
