On Wednesday, Ilirija qualified for the top regional league in the Balkans by beating Cibona Zagreb 2-0 in a best-of-three series. Luka attended both games and sat courtside.
Sasa Doncic, Luka's father and Ilirija GM, has run the Slovenian team for several years.
The Doncic family has been involved with Ilirija for a long time, and Luka has visited Tivoli Hall multiple times after NBA seasons to support the club.
Sasa Doncic also coached Ilirija from 2015 to 2019 and again from 2020 to 2022, helping the team move up through the Slovenian basketball ranks before taking on his current role in management.
