AC Milan have completed their first ‘sale’ of the summer as Pierre Kalulu has officially joined Juventus on a permanent basis.
Kalulu’s rise at Milan was notable given that he arrived somewhat under the radar from Lyon, but the defender found himself bumped down the pecking order after the arrival of Strahinja Pavlovic in the last summer mercato.
Thus, the decision was made to allow him to join Juventus on loan who were desperate to add defensive cover after some injuries. He impressed there under Thiago Motta, to the extent that them triggering their buy-out option seemed a mere formality.
