Antonio Cordero has spoken for the first time since becoming a Newcastle United player.
His move from Malaga to Newcastle United has been a formality for a while. Malaga confirmed that Cordero would be leaving them this week, with his contract due to expire on the 30th June.
Cordero said his goodbyes to Malaga, and it has now been confirmed that the winger is signing for the Magpies.
The ambition will be for him to blossom into a superstar on Tyneside, with Newcastle having high hopes for Cordero.

Antonio Cordero explains why he is joining Newcastle United
Landing the 18-year-old is quite a coup for Newcastle United.
The Athletic claim that Cordero attracted interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid, but he has opted to move to St James’ Park as he takes the next step in what will hopefully be a successful career.
Following the announcement of his signing, Antonio Cordero explained to Newcastle’s official website why he is moving to St James’ Park.
“It’s truly an honour to be here, truly a pleasure,” he said.

Newcastle United have announced that they have completed a deal for Cordero, but he will not officially become a Toon player just yet.

He becomes the first Newcastle United signing of the summer, but there is already another deal lined up. Vakhtang Salia will join Newcastle United in August when he turns 18.
They are two exciting talents with a lot of potential, but it might take some time for them to have a real impact on Tyneside.
Newcastle will shift their focus towards first-team signings, despite missing out on key targets such as Liam Delap and Matheus Cunha.
Bryan Mbeumo is also set to go elsewhere, with Newcastle deciding he is too expensive as Manchester United make their move.
But Newcastle are confident about their transfer plans, while they will be delighted to get the Cordero deal over the line.
