Man Utd Join Transfer Race for Brighton’s Pervis Estupinan

Manchester United are back in the hunt for Brighton star Pervis Estupinan, as they join a four-way battle.

United Eye Pervis Estupinan in Summer Shake-Up

Manchester Utd have officially joined the queue of clubs looking to snap up Brighton’s Pervis Estupinan. New signings are already arriving at Old Trafford, including Wolves forward Matheus Cunha. Now, the Red Devils are focusing at their backline.

As per reports, manager Ruben Amorim has called for a defensive overhaul. And Estupinan’s name has come up as a leading target. The defender has been brilliant with Brighton in the seasons. He is showing his pace, stamina, and ability to impact the game in either half.

Utd are not alone in pursuing him. As per CaughtOffside, Chelsea, Tottenham, and AC Milan are also circling the Brighton star. With a contract running until 2027, Brighton have the upper hand in transfer talks. They will be demanding at least £33 million for the full-back. Given the level of interest, that price could climb.

Estupinan has the kind of engine Amorim wants in a left wing-back. He is someone who can hustle up and down the flank and push Patrick Dorgu for a starting spot.

Old Interest Renewed in Estupinan

This isn’t the first time Estupinan has been on Utd’s radar. Back in 2020, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also wanted to sign the defender while he was shining on loan at Osasuna. Although, Villarreal won the race then. They bought him from Watford for just under £15 million. But, United now seem ready to revive their interest.

Brighton snapped him up from Villarreal as a replacement for Marc Cucurella. The Seagulls have since turned him into a Premier League regular. With several big-name clubs now circling, the summer could spark a full-blown bidding war.

For Amorim, landing they defender would tick a big box in his rebuild plan. But they’ll need to move fast and smart, Brighton won’t let him go easy.
