**West Ham have identified Soungoutou Magassa as a target for this summer transfer window, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.**
Despite only being into the first week of the window, which is known to be a significant for the club as we look to build a squad that fits the vision of Graham Potter, the club are already been linked with many players as potential targets.
Reporting exclusively on The West Ham Way Patreon, our insider ExWHUEmployee has provided an update on the current state of play, with a defensive midfield target in Monaco player Soungoutou Magassa.
“Ismael Doukoure offers an interesting option but it appears that he likely to join Chelsea who have a partnership with his current club Strasbourg and appear keen to bring the player over,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.
“Strasbourg’s links with Chelsea are a problem as we have a couple of targets from the club including: Emanuel Emegha, Habib Diarra and Mamadou Sarr. That are made harder to sign because of the London teams involvement with them.
“It means that the more likely target from young French centre backs comes in the form of Soungoutou Magassa of Monaco. Now the player is also known to play defensive midfield but we are said to be keen on exploring this transfer further and could make a move soon. It also happens that a couple of our other potential targets play for Monaco too.”
