Tottenham Hotspur have been credited with interest in a move for Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz this summer.
These claims initially originated in the UK press, where it was stated Tottenham are set to make an approach for the striker. It was also reported Fulham are determined to retain him, and that has seen them set a £50m price tag.
The Brazilian press have been looking at Tottenham’s reported interest in the Fulham player because Flamengo will benefit from his sale.
Brazilian journalist Venê Casagrande took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide an update on reports linking the 24-year-old to Tottenham.
He explained the Fulham player’s representatives ‘deny any negotiations’ with the Europa League winners over a move this summer.
The journalist reports Flamengo are entitled to receive 25% from a future sale plus an additional fee via FIFA’s solidarity mechanism.
Muniz’s contract at Fulham lasts until 2026, with an option for another year. The South American managed 11 goals and two assists from 36 games for Marco Silva’s side in the recently concluded season.
