While waiting for the medical and official announcement, it seems that Tijjani Reijnders has already played his last game for AC Milan.
Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign Reijnders as per multiple reports on Wednesday morning. There was some alarm among the Milan fan base, however, when The Athletic claimed that the ‘guaranteed’ fee will only be €55m, with bonuses on top.
Reijnders to Man City: The figures
Further confirmations are arriving on the structure of the operation that will see Reijnders head for the Premier League, with the two teams having reached an agreement yesterday for the transfer of the midfielder.
Fabrizio Romano states on X: “The agreement between Manchester City and Milan for Tijjani Reijnders is around €57m as a fixed base. It could go up to €65m with easy bonuses and finally €70m with difficult bonuses.”

Matteo Moretto adds: “Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City for €55/58m guaranteed plus bonuses. Of these bonuses, some are easier to achieve than others. The Rossoneri club can easily reach €65m in total. The total deal [fixed part + easy and difficult bonuses] comes to around €70m.”
Finally, Sky in Italy confirm that the figures are €70m total, divided into €55m guaranteed plus €15m in add-ons linked to personal and team objectives. AZ Alkmaar will get a sell-on, having sold him to Milan for €20.5m two years ago.
Reijnders’ transfer, including bonuses, could become the most expensive sale ever in the history of Milan. At the moment, the record has stood since the distant summer of 2009: Kakà to Real Madrid, for €67m.
