Manchester United’s Rasmus Højlund has been linked with a move to Inter Milan over the pasr few days and the Italian press has been quite insistent on the Nerazzurri’s interest in the striker.
Today, Gazzetta dello Sport have covered the Dane’s situation in detail and report he’s open to the possibility of a move to Inter.
The Italian giants’ chief executive Piero Ausilio has also taken a step forward for a potential summer transfer. He was in London yesterday to pursue Inter’s attempts for manager Cesc Fabregas. Gazzetta dello Sport believe that during the trip, Ausilio made initial contact with Manchester United for Højlund to understand more about the 22-year-old’s situation.
The belief is that the Red Devils want to earn as much as they can from the striker’s sale and are open to letting him depart.
Inter want to offer an initial loan deal with the option to buy of €45m but it can become an obligation if certain conditions are met.
The former Italian champions are optimistic about the deal and while they are in no hurry to complete it, they understand that there will be a need to negotiate it further.
Juventus’ competition has now dried away and this is giving Inter a lot of hope about concluding a deal later during the transfer window.
