Coventry City ‘will sell’ Jack Rudoni at the right price this summer with reporter Graeme Bailey believing a move is ‘likely’.
Coventry City came up short in the Championship play-offs in May and are preparing for another year of second tier football as a result.
The Sky Blues lost in heartbreaking circumstances to Sunderland, but will enter next season with a fire in their bellies to push for promotion once again.

Frank Lampard boasts a talented squad at the CBS Arena, but few players were as influential as attacking midfielder Jack Rudoni. And, somewhat unsurprisingly, his performances have yielded interest.
Leeds United and Newcastle United have both been said keen on the Coventry City star, and reporter Graeme Bailey anticipates a move this summer.
Speaking to EFL Analysis, Bailey said the Sky Blues ‘will sell’ if the deal is right with Rudoni waiting to see how his situation pans out at this moment in time. He said:
“With Rudoni, obviously Coventry are assessing it. They will sell, though.
“We’ve seen the links to the Premier League; Leeds and Newcastle. I think Rodoni will go, but it’s just a matter of where he’ll end up. I think the player himself is going to be assessing it, but I think he will go this summer.

“There’s Premier League interest in there. But, I think the interest is stronger in the Championship as of now. He’s waiting to see what happens. I don’t think it’s 100% where he goes just yet, as in which league he goes to. But an exit is likely.”
Ambitious Championship interest
Rudoni was one of the Championship’s standout midfielders in the 2024/25 campaign and is one of the most important players at Coventry City.
And, given that he only signed from Huddersfield Town last summer, you would think the Sky Blues have plans of holding onto him for a little longer.

Premier League interest could test their resolve, but you can’t help but feel Championship interest is highly ambitious. City will be reluctant to let him go and strengthen a rival and a second tier side is unlikely to be able to match the Premier League riches of Leeds United and Newcastle United, so time will tell if anything comes of the rumours.
Coventry City’s history of holding firm
Coventry City do have a history of selling their top assets. They have shown before they will cash in when the right opportunities arise.
However, the Sky Blues have also shown that they bide their time and hold onto key assets in favour of landing bigger fees further down the line.
They did so with both Viktor Gyokeres and Gustavo Hamer, and Milan van Ewijk seems to be in a similar position. The Dutchman could feasibly be prised away for the right sum this summer.

As such, there is a gut feeling that Rudoni may be held onto for a little longer. If he enjoys another starring Championship campaign, City will likely make bigger financial gains next year.
