Club waiting for Brentford to make firm offer – Transfer saga closely linked with Mbeumo exit

Feyenoord are keeping a close eye on Manchester United’s pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo, as they believe Brentford will immediately move for Antoni Milambo if that sale goes through.

That’s according to ‘insider’ Rutger Vinke, [via Feyenoord Pings](https://www.feyenoordpings.nl/feyenoord-kan-profiteren-van-mogelijke-transfer-bryan-mbeumo/), who reports that the deal for Milambo may be dependent on Mbeumo being sold.

Brentford have been linked with a move for Milambo for the best part of a month in what is quickly becoming a transfer saga around the 20-year-old. At first it appeared a deal was done, but that has now flipped to sources in the Netherlands insisting that nothing is going on and Feyenoord don’t want to sell anyway.

Vinke now reveals the latest on the matter, reporting that while Milambo has an agreement in place with Brentford, Feyenoord are waiting for the Bees to move.

“We are now waiting for the green light from Feyenoord regarding the transfer fee,” he is quoted as saying.

That is why all eyes are now on Mbeumo. If Brentford were to sell him to Manchester United, that would give them the financial space to make a firm offer for Milambo.

That’s yet to happen, though, with reports in England stating that Brentford has outright rejected Manchester United’s first bid for the forward. That negotiation does not look likely to be a short one, meaning we may be waiting on anything to progress with Milambo too.
