Inter Milan are scouting Europe for top talent to reinforce their squad after coming up just short twice this season.

The Italian side came runners up in Serie A to Napoli, falling only one point short of the top spot, having a far greater goal difference, and lost out in the Champions League final to PSG.

Now, the club are preparing for their Club World Cup match ups, being drawn in Group E agianst Argentinian side River Plate, Japanese club Urawa, and Mexican outfit Monterrey.

However, the Serie A giants are headed into the tournament without a manager as it stands, with Simone Inzaghi leaving the side yesterday to join Al-Hilal.

Their lack of manager isn’t slowing down Inter’s recruitment team however, still pushing for their long-term targets on their shortlist.

One of which is struggling Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund.

Inter Milan make contact for Rasmus Hojlund

The Denmark international has failed to live up to his £72 million transfer fee which saw him join from Atalanta in 2023 under Erik ten Hag.

However, Italian publication Gazzetta has reported that Inter have now had initial contact with Manchester United over a potential summer move.

The initial contact is reported to be to discuss a potential loan move with an obligation to buy of £38 million (€45 million) at the end of next season.

This comes on the back of the Serie A side already having made contact with Hojlund and his team, with talks reportedly going positively.

It’s understood that despite Hojlund’s struggles at Old Trafford, the striker still is held in high regards in Italy after his stint with Atalanta.

As a result, Inter aren’t the only side being linked with the 22-year-old, as Napoli have also been labelled as an interested party.
