Everton have been linked with a move for a top Premier League talent this summer, but are under pressure to deliver after a loan approach was made by a club abroad.
With a big summer on the horizon, David Moyes is looking to spend big to improve his Everton side.
Moyes wants to improve four positions at Everton to make up for the players he is expected to lose for free this month, with one of those positions being central midfield.
Abdoulaye Doucoure has announced his Everton departure, while Orel Mangala will leave the club after his loan spell, meaning Moyes is down to the bare bones in the middle of the park.
Reports have now stated that Everton are interested in a move for a Premier League midfielder whose future looks like it will be elsewhere next season.
However, a new report in Turkey has stated that legendary manager Jose Mourinho could steal a march and beat Everton to his signature.

Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce make loan approach for Everton target Yves Bissouma
After three years in North London, it looks like Yves Bissouma’s time at Tottenham is coming to an end, and Moyes is very attentive to the situation.
Everton are interested in signing Bissouma as they look for more depth in the midfield, a move which has been well-received amongst the fanbase.

Upon hearing the news, Everton fans were ecstatic that they are interested in Bissouma as they believe he will work perfectly with Idrissa Gana Gueye. However, it appears Moyes must act fast if he wants to bring the Mali international to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, as Mourinho’s Fenerbahce are lurking.
According to Turkish outlet Hurriyet, Fenerbahce have made a loan approach for Bissouma with an option to buy this summer. There is still a chance the offer gets rejected as Spurs will be more eager to see Bissouma leave the club permanently rather than on loan with a buy option.
Richarlison could persuade Yves Bissouma to make Everton switch
After signing for £35m in 2022, Bissouma’s form has dropped, and Ange Postecoglou is now looking to offload him in the summer transfer window.
One person who could play a key role in a move would be Richarlison, the forward spent four years at Everton and became a fan favourite before securing a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2022, around the same time Bissouma completed his move from Brighton.
2024/25 Premier League Statistics Yves Bissouma
Appearances 28
Passes/90 30.2
Tackles/90 1.8
Interceptions/90 0.6
There is a chance Richarlison could work as a middleman for a deal by persuading Bissouma that Everton are the right club to join over Fenerbahce. He would still play in a competitive league and would likely be one of Moyes’ starting midfielders next season.
While Bissouma is on Moyes’ radar, Everton have been linked with Richarlison after his game time was slashed in the 2024/25 campaign. However, there are doubts a deal will be done to have the Brazilian return to Merseyside.
